Due to the city's favorable geographic location, in 1996 the Border Crossing Point to Hungary 'Salonta – Méhkerék' was opened, 14 km from the city, accessible via a modernized asphalt road.

The industrial zone is equipped with the following utilities: natural gas, national road access, sewerage, drinking and industrial water, electricity, telephone network.

Industrial Activity

Industrial activity is predominantly concentrated in the northwestern part of the city, as shown in the General Urban Plan, specifically in Territorial Reference Unit No. 1, located within the municipality's built-up area. Near this zone is the Salonta CFR Halt, enabling passenger and freight transport by rail.
